Vanishing Coast
People gather on the beach at Bairro dos Pescadores as fishermen return in the afternoon to sell their catch. The area suffers from some of the most serious coastal erosion in Maputo. The neighborhood flooded in March, 2007 as a result of extremely high tides which former Maputo Mayor Eneas Comiche attributed to global warming.
