Vanishing Coast
A Zion woman sits on the beach near the Mercado do Peixe in Maputo, Mozambique while undergoing a "limpeza," or spiritual cleansing. During the ritual, she was rubbed down with cooking oil and covered with maize, and later taken into the bay where she was washed off and baptized.
